Language Access Across All Touchpoints: One Degree Now Supports 17 Languages

Language should never be a barrier to accessing essential services. Across the social service ecosystem, we know we have a long way to go to reach that goal. However, One Degree has taken one important step. The platform is now fully available in 17 languages. This includes not only the public-facing web experience, but also every touchpoint across the entire client referral experience.

When a community partner using the platform in English sends a referral,  the client now receives the complete experience in their preferred language. This comprehensive localization spans every client touchpoint:

  • PDF Printouts: Easy-to-read physical copies that navigators can print to share with clients directly in-person.
  • Automated Texts: Follow-up messages delivered directly to clients’ phones in their preferred language.
  • Email Correspondence: Clear, accessible documentation of referral details and action items, so clients have a reliable record of the support available to them.

At the heart of this update is a commitment to build trust and remove the friction that slows down collaboration and strains case manager capacity. By eliminating the back-and-forth that language gaps create, this feature takes a key step to make the bridge between a client and life-changing services seamless, transparent, and straightforward.

Supported languages include Arabic, Armenian, Chinese (Simplified and Traditional), Farsi/Persian, Filipino, Hindi, Japanese, Khmer, Korean, Russian, Spanish, Thai, Ukrainian, Urdu, and Vietnamese.
